Egyptian moussaka 🍆🥔🌶️

Super yummy but very fatty (be careful not to finish it in one sitting) 😂

Συστατικά:
🔻250g ground beef
🔻1 big onion
🔻1 tsp meat spices (or 7 spices)
🔻Salt & pepper
🔻2 Bay leaves
🔻4 garlic cloves
🔻2 aubergines
🔻2 green peppers
🔻2 green chili peppers (optional)
🔻4 medium potatoes
🔻2 Tsp conc. tomato
🔻1 can crushed tomatoes (1 Kg)
🔻1 cup Maggi meat (optional)
🔻Parmesan cheese topping (optional)

Μέθοδος:
🔸Slice all vegetables into slices
Cut the peppers into strips (see photo 3)
🔸Salt your aubergines for 30 mins
Dry the aubergines well
🔸Shallow fry or oven fry the vegetables
🔸In another pan, cook the onion then add the garlic and then the meat
Season and once cooked
🔸Add the concentrated tomatoes
Once it’s mixed well, add the tomato can + Maggi water
🔸Let it boil, then add the bay leaves and leave it covered for 1h
🔸Preheat your oven at 180C
Start layering in this order:
Meat sauce, aubergines, potatoes, peppers and repeat
🔸Top with parmesan cheese
Bake for 25-45 mins (depends on your oven)
🔸Mine took 25 mins in my convection oven
